What Is Help Now?

Help Now! is a remote support tool offered by Savage Systems.  What this means is that if you have an issue with your computer, whether you're a business or residential customer, we will be able to take control of your keyboard, mouse and monitor in order to resolve the issue for you.  This is a fantastic way to reach a resolution for your problem as quickly as possible.  It also reduces our costs for visits to your facilities, which in turn saves you money!  For costs associated with this service, please contact Savage Systems.  Some of our business customers have elected to sign up for one of our many service plans so the service is bundled with that.  Residential customers will be billed at $15 per 15 minute intervals, with a 15 minute minimum.

How Does It Work?

When you click on the above link, you will be asked to install an ActiveX Control.  ActiveXControls are used for both business and pleasure.  What we mean by that is there are some games and other recreational websites that will require you to install these controls in order for the site to work.  The ActiveX Control used for Help Now! is safe and you don't need to be worried about viruses and spyware.  But, in general, you need to be very careful when installing ActiveX Controls that come from sources you do not know.  Once you've installed our ActiveX Control, you will see a 6 digit Client ID number.  You will be asked to supply that via telephone to the Savage Systems Remote Support Specialist at which point we will connect to your computer and request desktop control.  You will have to click to accept this control, and it is at this point that we will be able to take control of your computer and resolve your issue.

Is It Safe?

Help Now! is very safe.  Not only do the 6 digit Client ID's expire after 5 minutes of not being used, but the entire session is SSL encrypted for maximum security.  If it's good enough for the Pentagon, it's good enough for us.
